Sae & Juan Carlos, who began dancing Argentine Tango together in September 2006, are designated winners of the Asian Tango Championship 2007 and finalists of the Tango World Cup in Buenos Aires, Argentina 2007 and 2010. They have performed at many of the most traditional and prestigious milongas in Buenos Aires, and the local milongueros have given them enthusiastic ovation for their outstanding performances. Now their traditional dance style, embodying passion and elegance, is bringing them international praise. In the past year, they have received countless and continuous invitations to teach as professional tango masters and to participate in international tango festivals in Korea, Beijing, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Tokyo and more.
Sae & Juan Carlos became winners of the Asian Tango Championship after less than one year dancing together. This victory placed them automatically as semi-finalists in the Tango World Cup in Buenos Aires 2007, where they participated for the first time. Here they advanced to the finals in Salon Tango, the most traditional category of Argentine tango dance. During this year they also started to teach and perform as professional tango dancers in Japan. In January 2009, they produced and organized an Argentine tango dance party called LABIOS DE TANGO, which was held for several years. In March of 2009, they were recognized as members of NAPTA (Nippon Argentine Tango Professionals’ Association), and in 2013, Juan Carlos was installed as a member of the Directive Committee of NAPTA.
Sae has worked as an actress, appearing in TV commercials of Japanese companies, popular TV dramas and movies. Now her tango dance has also participated as a feature of the Japanese mass media. In April 2009, the image of her dancing with Juan Carlos appeared in the title background of Noctilucent Stairs, a TV drama put on by the TV Asahi Corporation.
In September 2009, Sae and Juan Carlos started visiting homes for the aged in Japan, promoting Tango Therapy, a method that applies new researched techniques based on salon tango dance with the aim at helping senior citizens live happier, healthier and more productive lives.
For eight months starting in January 2010, Sae and Juan Carlos went to Buenos Aires, Argentina, the capital of tango and Juan Carlos’s hometown, to refine their skills. There they participated in the Tango World Cup for the second time and also advanced to the finals in the category of Salon Tango – considered to be one of the most elegant tango dances of the world. Their graceful and intense dance, consisting of a deep understanding of tango music, was highlighted in the Argentine mass media. They danced on the stage for the press at the opening event of the Tango World Cup Festival and were mentioned in Clarin, the most widely circulated newspaper in Argentina. During their stay in Buenos Aires, they performed at the traditional milongas, Glorias Argentinas and Club Sin Rumbo, and at the Okinawa Center in Argentina. They also danced on stage in the show PASION DE ORIGEN, SIMPLEMENTE TANGO.

In addition to being invited to teach and promote traditional tango dance all over Japan (Niigata, Nagoya, Morioka, Gunma, Saitama, Kamakura, Nagano etc…), their areas of activity are expanding worldwide.
With their performance in November 2011 at the Tokyo International Tango Festival as a beginning, Sae and Juan Carlos have started touring constantly in Asia.
